WHAT IF GOD WAS A FRIEND ON FACEBOOK
Written by: Joanne Baumeister Turner,

How did you get to know your best friend on Facebook? Remember back!  Didn't you spend time learning about them, talking for hours on chat sometimes not caring if anything else got done, exchanging your lives; being there for them in crisis. You can’t see your best friend because of the miles that separate you; you can’t touch them or put your arms around them; yet you communicate with them in writing and you have come to know them deeply, maybe better than you've ever known another friend. Maybe you’ve even shared things you would never have shared with anyone but this special person. It i

Understanding How My Father In Heaven Loves Me
by Joanne Baumeister Turner
I watch my husband in his role as grandfather to two boys who have no natural dad in their lives and I see my Father in Heaven. His love for them is fathomless, and his kindness toward them always shows like a beacon, even while being corrected. I see the gentle way he guides them, laying down boundaries they understand, yet like us they struggle against them. and this Father figure corrects them in love, when they push those boundaries aside. There is nothing he wouldn't do for those boys.
Yet it is the little one (6 yrs old) who clings to his every word; who out of choice spends much more one-on-one time with him. Cyrus seeks him out; and grandpa loves that about him. "When is Grandpa going to be home. Grandpa, can we go hit a bucket of balls?" He is the first to greet Tony at the door, and Grandpa’s attention naturally responds to the little guy because of that. They will play together for hours, mindless 6 year old games, pillow fights, and wrestli

God's Radically Pure, Alive and Unfathomable Love
BY: Joanne Baumeister Turner
“3. Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4. perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.” Roman 5:3-6

God's love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit. Poured out: it's not a matter of our understanding this kind of love, because God's love is incomprehensible. It is just a matter of receiving it - allowing Him to pour it out into you. If you pour liquid into a vessel with a lid on it, it will drain off onto the ground. If the vessel is open, the liquid can be poured into it, filled to the top and then it overflows to other things around it. It is also true for us.  As a flower opens to receive more sunlight and to pollinate with other flowers,  our hearts should op

Anger Management

It really doesn't matter what the other person did that triggered my anger. I am the one that is spending precious moments in my short life nursing an emotion against which God has much to say. The Bible describes anger as something that burns, like a fire. The adjectives that define it are burning,, smoldering, blazing like a fire and hotter than an oven. Anger can be fierce, inflamed, cursed and cruel. Anger causes men and women to lash out; to say things they would never otherwise say. It has been known to be the catalyst behind fighting, injury and even murder. What do you do with your anger, Brothers and Sisters. Yes, we were made in the image of God; and the Bible speaks much about the anger of God toward His children before the coming of God in the flesh. But there are some emotions that are better used in a Godly manner, or left in check.
Proverbs 27:4 reads “Fury is cruel and anger overwhelming, but who can stand jealousy?” But t

Dancing on Gossamer Wings
DANCING
ON GOSSAMER WINGS

by Joanne Baumeister Turner
I went to bed teary-eyed with deep heartfelt empathy for the families
of 12 trapped miners, who, 36 hours before had been trapped in an
underground tomb; and yet had been found alive! Unheard of, said
some; no it’s a miracle insisted the faithful. While part of
me was rejoicing with them, I felt a knot in the pit of my stomach;
something wasn’t right. In this world of ours, tragedy, pain,
calamity, sickness, disappointment, death and more all seems to
outweigh all that our hearts long for; the feelings of love, joy,
peace, tranquility and pure, not purchased, happiness. Those of us
raised in the United States are taught from the crib through college
that every American citizen strives toward fulfilling their own
personal version of what freedom endowed them; prosperity, success
and upward mobility. – “the American dream”: it is
expected that every red-blooded, United

There are so many things I need to do other than scanning deviantart and yet I keep finding myself back here.  I keep hoping there are Christian artists who will agree to allow me to use their pieces matching up with my writing - so I write notes and write notes to anyone who appeals to what I want.  I am choosy, but I wish I could encourage all those who do Christian art to come out of hiding and just say - "hey, use whatever you want of mine".  I have great exposure since I post to over 200 Facebook groups and pages, my own group, blog, Christian group blog and now deviantArt.   And I keep spelling deviant art all different ways without knowing which one is correct.  Oh well, as long as I get it right when posting the .com for your prospective artwork.  Anyway, I am so captured by the talent in this place, but I have a full time ministry and can't do what I am doing.  Oh well, you understand!!
